About Stone Mountain School
Since 1990, Stone Mountain therapeutic boarding school has provided boys ages 11 to 17 with an exciting alternative to traditional education programs. Specifically tailored to boys with learning differences, attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD) and nonverbal learning disorders, Stone Mountain is designed to help our students succeed both academically and socially.
Stone Mountain private school for boys uses an integrated approach that combines counseling, structure, small classrooms and individualized academic support, equine therapy, green time, a healthy diet, exercise, medication and family support.
Located in the mountains of western North Carolina on a 100-acre campus in the woods, Stone Mountain School uses its beautiful yet rustic surroundings as an experiential classroom. Students attend structured classes in small groups, discover new learning and communication strategies, and practice organizational and life skills through hands-on experience. With the guidance and support of well-trained staff, Stone Mountain students move through the school's stage system of personal development and grow into responsible young men.
