One Ohio county urging parents to watch out for underage drinking during the holiday vacation

Law enforcement officials from Delaware County, Ohio are urging parents to show tough love toward their children when it comes to underage drinking, reports WBNS.
Officials told the news source that officers in the area have made 212 arrests for underage drinking, which represents increases from 140 and 182 in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
They added that along with finding beer and mixed drinks at house parties, police are also seeing illegal drugs. Officials told the news source that they are worried with the upcoming holiday break for high school students could potentially increase the chance for underage drinking
Furthermore, teens are using fake IDs and even their parents to obtain alcohol. Officials are warning parents that while they think they are providing a safe place for children to drink, they could still face charges for allowing minors to use alcohol on their property.
Teen boarding schools can help give parents the assurance that their children is provided an environment conducive to learning and achieving academic and behavior success.
The 2009 Monitoring the Future Survey reveals that approximately 72 percent of high school seniors have consumed alcohol at least once during their lifetime.
