Profile: A Residential Life-Skills Program in Bend, Oregon

The NorthStar Center in Bend, Oregon, offers an exciting residential program for young adults who are committed to drug and alcohol free living and are not quite prepared for living independently or continuing to college.

The community of Bend offers unique adventures and academic opportunities for adolescents who still need some support, encouragement, and skills to either work as independent adults or continue their education. Many of the students continue onto 4-year colleges after attending the NorthStar Center program.

NorthStar Center offers a year-long program for 18 to 24 year olds who want the opportunity to transform their lives. They offer an academic program, therapeutic services, and numerous activities (from skiing to hiking) to help challenge young adults, build their self-confidence and skills, and put them on the road to successful independence.
